Shah indian Cuisine is a really welcoming restaurant, but it is quite small who cares about that. The most important is the quality of the food and hygiene not a lot of restaurants are hygienic. The food is fantastic the staff around here are a bit you know but who cares about them. The atmosphere is perfect and staffs are really nice. What else can i say? Well i can say it is certainly an indian restaurant.
The Shah is a strange little Indian Restaurant. It is off the main high street and has a fairly welcoming shop front. It is definately a traditional Indian restaurant with no fancy interior (although it does not look it and it indeed is not a particularly old restaurant). What first made me come here was the buffet they provide on a set price basis. You really get a lot for your money on these evenings and get to eat an unexcuseable amount of Indian food on a tight budget. I feel the service is only just adequate. My girlfriend said she would sometimes feel uncomfortable due to being peared at and overly mollycuddled. I was once served an out of date (by about 6 months) bottle of Kaliber which tasted awful. I approached a member of staff, quietly and politely and asked for something else. There was no apology just a replacement. The food is adequate. Nothing special. I did feel on the buffet evenings that so much food was being wasted around me what on earth would they do with it?! I never felt totally welcome.Price is reasonable - bargain for a buffet night. I did not feel they had a good selection of drinks though.A nice touch to the end of the meal is a rose for the lady. All in all I'd say a typical no frills Indian restuarant.
