Avoid this company! I am a single income community nurse and am now having to take legal action to recover my deposit of nearly £800. Although the staff have been professional, the owner John Baker is dishonest and just pays lip service; a very untrustworthy person. Phone calls are not returned, letters are ignored and empty promises made. Customer service has been absolutely appalling and communication, non-existent. He has kept my money and offered no service at all. I have had no apology; I am just ignored. This is the first review I have ever written in order to detract and urge people to go elsewhere. I am just appalled at how I have been treated these last three months and the lack of 'service' they have provided-an arrogant and totally unprofessional owner.
Have had a shocking couple of months dealing with this company - customer service just doesn't exist once they have your deposit! Phone calls not returned, emails not replied to, the manager supposedly not there when you phone etc etc Admittedly they did turn up when they said they would, but the work was shoddy and left unfinished. Scratches and a chip in a brand new piece of slate, bad plaster work and I'm still waiting for my beam nearly 2 months later. On top of this they used my credit card to take the balance when the job is still unfinished and my fireplace incomplete. Totally USELESS - they may charm you in the beginning, but simply can not deliver what they promise. I would honestly stay well clear.... Apparently Sandpits in Langport are very good....!
Useless beyond belief, promises, promises, promises, never returned any phone calls, I must have rung 10 times. Wasted so much of my time, "it'll be here Friday" weeks have gone past. meanwhile the sitting room is a building site waiting for them. Finally told them to forget it.
Never turned up. Wasted a day off waiting for this lot and a further afternoon on a second chance. We shouldn't have bothered and won't make the same mistake again.
I had my woodburner installed this week and I am absolutely delighted with it. The lads who installed it were lovely, were very friendly, albeit professional too, I was surprised how hard they had to work to install the stove.. Both John and Ken in the shop kept me well informed and again were very friendly and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend.
Do not touch this lot with a barge pole... useless, poor workmanship... fully agree with above posts.. I will sit in the shop with you!!!
Took ages to get the work done! Practically impossible to get hold of, awful customer service and very unprofessional. NOT recommended.
yes they are very good getting you to go with them, but hit a problem, they just do not want to know, i have phoned them 4 times { every time i am at the top of the list, thats a laugh } if i could turn the clock back i would, just might have to go down and sit in the shop and warn other people.
