Odeon Cinema is a multi screen cinema complex with several cinemas located all over the UK, showing all the latest box office releases.

Not The Best But Does The Job

The Taunton Odeon is not the most amazing cinema you have ever visited but given the limited choice in the area (This is it) it does the job you want it to.It has the majority of new releases on a number of screens and their are child booster seats, which will probably be needed due to the seat layout in each screen.The seating is not as comfortable as other cinemas although the premium seating has a little more padding to aid those aches and pains that prolonged seating can cause.As usual the food and drink you will feel the need to buy is hugely overpriced and you will find yourself unlikely to get any change from a ten pound note if there is more than just one person.The saving grace for this cinema though will have to be two things:1 - Ben and Jerrys Ice cream counter offering a different type of treat including mix and match ice cream flavour milkshakes and core sundaes2 - Pre-ordered ticket facilities saving you the time and effort of queuing before your film if you order online. Although this service will cost you a couple of pounds.Overall if you fancy a movie on the big screen this is really your only choice in Taunton or else you will have a long trek to your next available cinema.

Very average cinema experience

Taunton Odeon is quite a large cinema. It is the only cinema I can think of that really serves the area. Immediately on arrival it appears nicely furnished and clean, and a bonus is the near by McDonalds (and Sainsburys just a 2 minutes walk down the road).The tickets are typical price odeon tickets that is a complete rip-off in my opinion. I only ever visit here on Orange Wednesday or with free tickets (thanks to see film first). The food and drinks are horrendously priced, for people with more money then sense ;-) especially with the sainsburys down the road.The screens are generally tidy and theres plenty of them (8 I believe). I must say the main screen is massive & the picture and sound is excellent.The staff are helpful but 99% of the time appear to be stood around doing nothing.Taunton Odeon is your only choice of cinema in the area and it could be worse, a very good choice for the cinema go-er on a high budget!
