South West Motors is an exceptional breakdown company. Last August (2009) I got into my little Mazda Demio in Wiveliscombe, turned the ignition key and there was a ping and the sound of a spring twanging. No ignition, just a floppy key which turned and did nothing. Stranded, I got a lift home as it was late. Contacted local garage in morning and they just were not interested, and too busy - so much for using local services!! Called South West Motors, they were there to meet me in less than 30 mins, Nigel on the truck could not have been more helpful, despite the problem of having to source a new ignition lock. Back at their base, they advised me that Mazda wanted £400 for a new lock (about half what the car was worth) and ebay was not fruitful. No problem, they said, we'll sort it - and they did. I now have one of those amazing push button starters with an ignition toggle switch - amazing - even my daughters think its really cool. The base line here is that no other garage would have gone to so much trouble to ensure customer satisfaction. They even delivered the car back to me because I could not get back to them to collect it due to work commitments. These guys - Nigel on the truck, and I think John at the base, are simply the best. Don't hesitate, just call them if you live in this area, you won't regret it, promise.

Having never visited Porlock or that region, we opted to stay at Burrowhayes purely by finding their site on the internet. From the moment we arrived on the site, Julian made us feel so welcome and the two weeks we spent there was, to put it mildly, out of this world. Easy access to many well signposted walks from 2 - 12 miles, beautiful scenery, loads to do, including Burrowhayes on site riding stables for kids and adults alike. The facilities provided in their comparitively new wash/toilet/shower block, pot wash and laundry room are simply outstanding. We are discerning people, and look for quality of services provided, friendliness and helpfulness of staff, on site shopping provisions, etc, and all we could do was put the largest tick, ever, in every box. Wonderful people, wonderful site, wonderful location, highly recommended.

Hi again, just got back from Spain, 2,500 miles of troublefree motoring thanks to Mudie Bond. Had to get second ignition key ordered and programmed (ouch!!) but as usual, Lisa and Ashley were there on reception to smooth the way, Marion round the corner answering the calls. Usual friendliness and help I have become used to finding at this exceptional service centre!

Purchased a Sprinter LWB converted motorhome in Chester, drove it down to Aston, but en route it developed brake and power steering problems. Visited Mudie Bond Oxford, who normally deal with company vehicles. From the start, at reception, I could not have wished for a friendlier, more helpful and sympathetic welcome. As a private user I felt important, they offered loads of great advice, sorted all the problems out and pulled out all the stops to ensure the van was ready in time for my return trip to Spain. You simply CANNOT get better service than this, Lisa in reception (I think) Mike the technician, the experience there softened the blow of the final bill, but it was well worth it to KNOW that everything had been done swiftly and efficiently. My hat goes off to them, HIGHLY recommended. Thank you Mudie Bond.
